How to measure bra size

To measure your bra size accurately, follow these steps:

1. Get a measuring tape:

Use a soft measuring tape, preferably one made of cloth, to ensure accurate measurements.

2. Measure your band size:

– Stand up straight and wrap the measuring tape snugly around your ribcage, just below your bust. Make sure the tape is parallel to the ground and sits level across your back.
– Take note of the measurement in inches. Round it to the nearest whole number. This measurement is your band size.

3. Measure your bust size:

– Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust, typically across the nipples. Ensure the tape is parallel to the ground.
– Note down the measurement in inches.

4. Determine your cup size:

– Subtract your band size measurement from your bust size measurement.
– Use the difference to find your cup size based on the following chart:

Difference (in inches)                                                Cup Size

             0-1 A
             1-2 B
             2-3 C
             3-4 D
             4-5 DD (or E)
             5-6 DDD (or F)
             6-7 G
             7-8 H
             8-9 I
            9-10 J
           10-11 K

– For example, if your band size is 34 inches and your bust size is 38 inches, the difference is 4 inches. According to the chart, a 4-inch difference corresponds to a D cup.

5. Determine your final bra size:

– Combine your band size and cup size to determine your bra size. For example, if your band size is 34 inches and your cup size is D, your bra size would be 34D.

Remember, bra sizing can vary between brands, so it’s always a good idea to try on different sizes and styles to find the most comfortable and supportive fit.
